A lot of people think of a job search in terms of what a candidate is going through, and this is valid thinking. However, what often gets overlooked is what a job search looks like for a spouse, friends or family that is watching their loved one going through the search.

Every person has a story. Every Person has a journey. No more so when going on a job search journey. In the first of many, Brad sits down with a fellow job seeker, David (Chris) Holub to discuss his journey. We discuss getting let go from his last position, the strategy he used to find his next opportunity, and what he has learned about himself by going through this journey.

Many people are faced with a fate that is not what we had envisioned. Many of us are let go from a company for no fault of our own and are left with a fate that is less than ideal. But we can choose to accept the fate we were handed or we can embrace or love the fate we were given. By embracing your fate, we can learn from it, and grow from it, and thrive in what comes next.

The recent events in the country got me thinking about perspective, and what you feed your mind with. If you look for negativity, you can find it. If you look for positivity, you can find. This applies to to everything from news events to the job search.

Sept 5th, 2025 marked 1 year of unemployment. As I reflect on that time, there are several things that have been learned. How to continue growing as an employee. How to reframe your situation to use it to your advantage while going through your search. Keeping up your education and mental health while being in transition.
